Q: What is an add on or toolbar’s function?

A: An add on or toolbar provides access to more than a dozen fun features as well as world-class content for your browser, IM, and email applications. The toolbar is customizable and enables you to see targeted results from the Internet’s leading search provider, Each specific add on or toolbar has their own features that make Web search and other Internet tasks a breeze!

Q: What operating systems are compatible with the toolbar?

A: Our toolbars are compatible with the following operating systems:

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8

Q: What browsers are compatible with the toolbar?

A: Our toolbars are compatible with the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 7 and above
  • Firefox 3.6 and above
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari

Q: Will the toolbar ask for my personal information?

A: No. We do not require you to provide personal information in order to use our toolbars. At no time will this change, so you can feel safe while using our toolbar.

Q: Does the toolbar have adware or spyware?

A: No. Our toolbars do NOT include adware or spyware, nor will it cause pop-up ads to appear. Our toolbar is 100% safe and you can be confident that your privacy is protected. Our toolbar does not:

  • Collect any personal information
  • Track the sites you visit
  • Monitor your behavior on the Internet
  • Log keystrokes
  • Give your computer a virus
  • Serve or facilitate ads

Q: Why am I seeing search results?

A: powers the search experience across all of our products and toolbars. While the toolbars default search is with, you may also discover your browser’s default search and/ or homepage have been set to as well. Changing these settings is easy; please refer to the instructions below in “How do I change my default search engine?”

Q: How do I reset my browser’s homepage?

A: To reset your homepage back to your desired choice, use the following instructions that correspond to your browser of choice:

Internet Explorer 7 and above:

  1. Navigate to the webpage you would like to set as the home page.
  2. Click the arrow to the right of the Home button Picture of the Home button, and then click Add or Change Home Page.
  3. In the Add or Change Home Page dialog box, do one of the following:
    1. To make the current webpage your only home page, click Use this webpage as your only home page.
    2. To start a home page tab set or to add the current webpage to your set of home page tabs, click Add this webpage to your home page tabs.
    3. To replace your existing home page or home page tab set with the webpages you currently have open, click Use the current tab set as your home page. This option will only be available if you have more than one tab open in Internet Explorer.
  4. Click Apply to save your changes.

Firefox 3.6 and above:

  1. Navigate to the page you want set as your home page.
  2. At the top of the Firefox window on the menu bar, click on the Tools, and select Options.
  3. If it isn’t already selected, click the Main icon. The Main options panel is displayed.
  4. Click on Use Current Page. (If you have a group of tabs open, the entire group of tabs will be set as your homepage. You can also use the Use Bookmark button to set one of your bookmarks as your home page.)
  5. Click OK to close the Options window.

Google Chrome:

  1. Click on the three horizontal lines (or wrench icon) In the upper right-hand corner of your Chrome browser.
  2. In the menu that appears under Tools – select Extensions.
  3. From here, click on Settings on the left side of the page.
  4. Under Show Home Button in the “Appearance” section, click Change.
  5. Enter the URL you would like to use as your home page and then click OK.

Q: How do I change my default search engine?

A: To reset your search engine back to your desired choice, use the following instructions that correspond to your browser of choice:

Internet Explorer:

  1. Access the Internet Options menu under Tools.
  2. Under the General tab, find the Search section and click the Settings button.
  3. Find your preferred search engine name in the list and click the Set as default button (located at the bottom right of the screen). If your preferred search is not listed, add it by clicking on the Find more search providers link (located on the bottom left of the screen).
  4. You can remove any unwanted search engines from the list by highlighting the name and clicking the Remove button the bottom right.


After successfully removing the toolbar and changing Firefox’s default search, some Firefox users still report being inadvertently redirected to search results rather than to the results they intended to see. A simple reset of Firefox will resolve this using these steps:

  1. Hold down the Shift button and while doing so click on the Firefox icon on your desktop or from your Start menu.
  2. If done correctly the “Firefox Safe Mode” box will appear. Do not click “Safe Mode.”
  3. Click Reset. Then confirm on the next screen.

Google Chrome:

Google Chrome allows you to change the browser default search provider at any time.

  1. Click on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the Google Chrome browser and then click on Settings from the drop down menu.
  2. In the Settings window, use the drop down menu in the Search section of the page to select your desired search provider.

Q: How do I find the name/ brand of my toolbar?

A: The brand name of the toolbar installed on your computer can be found to the right of the blue search box on the left side of the toolbar. This brand name should match what is listed in your computer’s control panel list of installed programs.

Q: How do I uninstall the toolbar?

A: We’re sorry to hear you’re unsatisfied with our product. Please note, once you have removed the toolbar, you will no longer have access to the wide variety of Web search tools made available by each toolbar.
